Motorcycle!

Finally! After months of looking. I got one.

I've always been attracted to the 1984 Honda Nighthawk 700sc.  That bike is basically an old school crotch rocket, and I hate the crotch rocket scene.  So it was a number one choice at the time.  Then, I must have saw a commercial or something for the 2011 Honda cbr250r. Everything clicked, a lower powered engine, nice colors, good styling, I had to have it.  Something about the bike was just calling my name.

Heres a commercial.

Thats basically me, without the Honda s2000 and the hot girlfriend. and the good looks. But this bike just screamed to me "individual".  Mainly because what man is gonna say "Yeah I have a 250 size engine" when they could say "Yeah i got a 1000cc engine". Eff you. Go die, literally.

But really, this bike, was just..perfect in my eyes. Everything about it. At a low end buy in price made it more attractive.  Going to different Honda dealers, they all wanted something different.  I had a couple of good deals, a couple of horrible deals, and great deal(Which is the reason I bought). One place only had the abs model in stock, which i found stupid to spend 500 dollars extra on something I didn't really want. One place with the model I wanted wanted a 1300 dollar down payment. Eff you.  I settled, and rejoiced the deal I got at Willy World Cycles in Joliet. Low down payment, low apr, and low everything.  I was even able to make a deal with them about the out the door price.

After putting a deposit down, I had to wait till i got paid to put the rest of the money down.  They told me they'd call me when the bike came in(I'd be at school so I could just stop by afterwards).  As I'm about to talk out (Thursday) a truck pulls up. My salesman (Mitch) says "oh hey, there's your bike)

An ABS model and a regular model were the one bikes on the truck.  I was able to wheel mine off.

And there she is.  The bike I've been wanting for months.  I decided to name her "Faye".  If you can guess why, power to you.  Mark so far has been the only person to guess correctly on the first try and know for a fact why I picked that name.  It fits though, and I'm happy.

I couldn't sleep that night because I was so excited about getting the bike.  I had work the next morning so I had to wait after work to go get it. Finally (Today_errr..yesterday, Derek drove me to Joliet so I can pick it up)

I filled out the rest of the paperwork, put the rest of my deposit down, had a big fist bump and hand shake, and I was ready to go.  I guy explained to me all the features and I was surprised.

Now when I first rode it I said personally to myself "Oh my God...this feels pretty bad".  I was a bit upset with myself.  It turned out that I had only been out of practice of a motorcycle, and I was wearing bad boots. So once I got home, changed, and rode agai, I fell in love.  It's everything I dreamed it would be and more.  It's really a great machine.

I drove it home in the rain and cold.  Perfect bonding moment.
